We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application depends on the features and settings you use, and includes:
The Application allows the recording of user-generated images locally on your mobile device. These images are not shared with us nor do we have any knowledge of their content.
The Application supports the real-time streaming of handwritten data from the mobile device to the Boogie Board LIVE web server, from which it may be streamed in real-time to the web browsers of multiple designated recipients. Recipients are designated by providing them with a unique URL to access the session. The data is secured in transit using an encrypted web socket with Transport Layer Security (TLS). The stream is available to anyone with the proper URL. An automatically generated session UUID included in the URL provides a level of protection against snooping.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the Boogie Board LIVE web server on an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instance located in the United States. The terms of the AWS Customer Agreement and the AWS Service Terms apply to our customer content, which includes Boogie Board LIVE user data. AWS is certified under both the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks and their certifications can be viewed on the Privacy Shield list.
A Boogie Board LIVE session is only opened when initiated by the user. Session data is deleted from the Boogie Board LIVE web server when the session is closed by the user. The user accepts responsibility for the disclosure of all content within the handwritten data including personal data or sensitive personal information.
We rely on consent as the legal basis for collecting this information. You may remove consent at any time by disabling Boogie Board LIVE in the Application settings.
In order to continuously improve the Application, we use the Crashlytics and Answers services provided by Google Fabric (https://get.fabric.io).
Crashlytics is used to track and help to prevent future application crashes. In case of a crash, a crash report comprising an Installation UUID and a crash trace are created automatically and transmitted to Google. The Installation UUID helps by associating crash data with a specific instance of the Application. Crash traces and their associated identifiers are kept for 90 days.
Answers is used to provide information on how the Application is being used, including certain events, active user numbers, session length, stability rating, and retention. Personal data collected by Google includes an Installation UUID and an IP address. This data helps Answers provide their service by providing customers with analytics information based on segmented device data. IP addresses are used to provide geolocation information to customers. The Installation UUID is retained by Answers for 90 days.
Google provides the Crashlytics and Answers services to us under their standard standard Data Processing and Security Terms (DPST) for all Fabric customers. Google LLC is certified under both the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks and their certifications can be viewed on the Privacy Shield list.
The Terms of Service for Answers requires disclosure that third parties such as Google may collect and use End User Data to improve their products and services and for analytics purposes, and that third parties such as Google may disclose aggregated End User Data. Furthermore, while the Application does not include ads, users are instructed that they may opt out of interest based advertising using their device settings: the “Limit Ad Tracking” setting on iOS and the “Opt out of interest based ads” setting on Android.
We rely on consent as the legal basis for the use of Crashlytics and Answers. You may remove consent at any time by disabling these features in the Application settings.
We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s calendar and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device settings.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information.
