We are currently seeking an Android Application Intern to join our dynamic team in a very hands-on, developmental role for the Summer of 2023. Please note that this is a PAID internship.

Job Summary:

The Android Applications Intern will be responsible for supporting the development and testing of new mobile applications. In addition, they will maintain and improve Kent Displays' current consumer apps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across the organization in the development and testing of new mobile applications on Android platforms.
• Partner with marketing team to identify and execute improvements to current applications.
• Assist in the maintenance of current applications to enable efficient usage by Kent Displays’ customers.
• Produce quality and maintainable work output in an evolving development cycle.
• Remain current in the technology that supports mobile application development.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrably passionate about mobile development through previous work or personal activities required.
• Training and education in a Computer Science related field required.
• Previous experience developing Android apps in Kotlin or Java highly recommended.
• Knowledge of Android Studio highly recommended.
• Communicates (written and verbal) effectively with others required.
• History of following deliverable schedules and meeting assigned deadlines required.
• Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git highly recommended.
• Experience releasing apps on Google Play recommended
• Pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred.
• Stable work history required.
